AnnotationThe importance of rehabilitation for older people has long been acknowledged, yet, little has been written about its practical application to the day-to-day care of older nursing home residents. This article describes a rehabilitative approach which utilises the expertise of the nurse at the key points of care planning. A case study of an admission process using this approach is included.
