AnnotationThe risk of falls increases with age, and falls are the major cause of death from injury among older people. Walsall has taken a lead in involving both local and statutory agencies in accident prevention initiatives. A teaching and resource pack, "Falls: a positive approach", developed for use by Dartmouth House Rehabilitation Unit in Walsall has served as a model for other health authorities. This article outlines the development of further training materials by Walsall Health Authority. (RH).
