| Annotation | Doing art was an effective means of improving communication in a project with a group of six nursing home residents. The care assistant who ran the project continued with her role after the initial 5-week experiment, working one afternoon a week on a one-to-one basis with residents, having been inspired by the positive results she had already seen.
