| Annotation | These articles - commissioned by the International Life Sciences Institute Center for Health Promotion - provide an overview of current research knowledge concerning changes in physical activity, eating habits, and nutrient intakes that occur with ageing. Attention is given to the epidemiological description of age-associated changes, and to the physiological alterations that may cause them. The relationship between measures of fitness and nutrition and the key domains of health as formulated in the US Department of Health and Human Services' report, Healthy people 2010, are also considered.
