| Annotation | The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a loose grouping of ten southeast Asian countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. ASEAN was established to achieve peace, stability and prosperity in the region, through co-operation in economic, political and security areas and functional co-operation. This paper examines the demographic aspects of ageing in the ASEAN countries, the role of the family, and the challenges of population ageing. (RH). |
