AnnotationThe College of Occupational Therapists (COT) and the National Association of Providers of Activity for Older People (NAPA) are launching a partnership to work together to make access to meaningful occupation a reality for older people. The partnership will provide a vehicle to acknowledge the value that activity providers, including those working in occupational therapy services, bring to the health and well being of older people. It is the aim of both bodies to produce a joint benchmark document that addresses the national standards that relate to the provision and inspection of activities and meaningful occupation for older people, particularly those living in residential and nursing home settings.
