AnnotationThe annual report for 1995-96 marks the fiftieth year of CPA and gives a brief review of its achievements since its inception in 1947, as the National Corporation for the Care of Old People (NCCOP). Annual reports for NCCOP from 1948 to 1979 are available. On 22nd April 1980 NCCOP began to operate under the current name of the Centre for Policy on Ageing. The current annual review (2005/06) looks forward to the sixtieth anniversary of CPA which will be marked by a new development of hosting Better Government for Older People (BGOP) within its offices. Eric Midwinter is the current Chair of the Centre's Board of Governors. (KJ).
