| Annotation | Under-nutrition in older people is common, and is associated with costly adverse health outcomes. This position statement represents the views of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine. It looks at the prevalence and consequences of under-nutrition in older people; and screening, assessment and interventions. Previously 'Nutrition in the elderly' (Australian Journal on Ageing, 1997), it was revised by Associate Professor Renuka Visvanathan and approved by the Federal Council of the ANZSGM on 7 September 2007.
