| Annotation | On 7 December 2012, a conference took place to celebrate the launch of the British Library's Social Welfare Portal and the acquisition of a major archive from the charitable and voluntary sector. The conference looked at the role and potential of different types of evidence in the social welfare sector. This booklet provides a brief summary of the content of the conference, which included: filling the gaps in the social care evidence; the role of the Third Sector Research Centre (TSRC) Knowledge Portal; and valuing voluntary sector records and archives.
