 — policy and practice implications
Author(s)Philip A Hall
Journal titleInternational Journal of Aging and Human Development, vol 28, no 3, 1989
Pagespp 191-205
KeywordsElder abuse ; Social surveys ; United States of America.
AnnotationAn examination of 288 validated instances of older maltreatment in Texas suggests that these phenomena pose questions as diverse as those faced in identifying child and spouse maltreatment. A partial typology is offered to guide further investigations. Implications for policy and practice suggest a cautious approach to value-laden issues, while recognising the need for intervention.
