AnnotationA dementia investigation bed acts as a focal point for the combined department of geriatric medicine and psychiatry. In 9 years, more than 300 people have been investigated and 30 neuropathological studies have been carried out. Neuropathology demonstrated a wide range of causes with a predominance of multi-infarct cases. Eventually, it is hoped that a full investigatory service will be developed. This Forum article in English appears in an issue of the German serial Geriatrie & Rehabilitation. (RH).
