AnnotationThe results of a survey on what was felt to be 'the biggest problem which old people have to face' of a representative sample of 2000 men and women aged 16-64, and a sample of some 400 people aged 65 and over, is presented. No list was provided of suggested answers. Only two answers were mentioned by more than one person in ten among the main sample: loneliness (62%); and lack of money (49%). For the over 65s, a lack of everything, and more specifically, health, were most frequently mentioned. (RH).
