AnnotationThis document sets out to identify what are the minimum acceptable standards for adult residential care in Lincolnshire. It is divided into four principal sections, each representing an aspect contributing to the quality of care provided: environment (location, space standards, food safety, health and safety, etc.); management (aims and objectives, records, complaints, etc,); staffing (staffing levels, recruitment, motivation, supervision, etc.); and care practice (admissions, care plans, health, and contact with family members, carers and friends). For each section there are individual standards, containing a defined regulation and/or a recommendation from sources such as the Centre for Policy on Ageing (CPA) publications, 'Home life' and 'A better home life'. The criteria by which an inspector decides whether a standard is met, and the outcomes - the impact on the quality of life for the resident - are listed.
