| Annotation | These Regulations, which came into force on 1 March 1993, amend the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 regarding the fire safety of second-hand furniture which is hired out at the same time as and in connection with the letting of accommodation. As from 1 January 1997, such furniture must satisfy the requirements of the 1988 Regulations in relation to upholstery and filling material and certain requirements relating to permanent covers. |
