A series of research articles present findings on interventions by community pharmacists, pharmaceutical care by pharmacy students in an acute carer setting, and a consultant pharmacist's recommendations for drug therapy intervention in a nursing home. The editor concludes with a case report of the costs of intervention failure for one patient which resulted in over $50,000 in excess costs to the health system.
