AnnotationUndergraduate psychology students at the University of New Orleans, US, were trained in survey research methods and gerontological research issues through a class project involving interviewing older adults. This resulted in a paper written as a journal manuscript. Various other aspects of the course, including statistical analysis, library searches, informed consent issues, and dealing with sexist and ageist language were included in the project. The benefits of this approach to teaching experimental design are discussed. (RH).
