AnnotationWomen's history has been overlooked for too long, and this book attempts to redress the balance. The book was planned and researched by twelve women working with Coventry University's Learning in Later Life Initiative, which was set up for the educational needs of the over-50s in Coventry. The women researchers were led by their own interests, so that the book does not claim to be a representative study of twentieth century Coventry women. The profiles and stories are generally of Coventry's older citizens, some of whom died some years ago. (RH).
