AgeInfo
is an unrivalled source of easily accessible, relevant and regularly updated
information on older age issues drawn from CPA's authoritative library
collection.
Updated monthly
on the Web and quarterly on CD, AgeInfo consists of three searchable
databases:
- Bibliographic
database - over 55,000 references to books, journal articles, central
and local government reports, statistical sources, legislation and research
reports held in CPA's library. Entries have full content descriptions.
- Organisations
database - contact details, history and activities of approximately
4,000 organisations worldwide active in the field of older age.
- Calendar
of events database - forthcoming courses, conferences and other
events of interest to practitioners and researchers.
AgeInfo
contains UK, European and US material on a wide range of social issues
affecting older people. Topics include transport, housing, leisure activities,
health, poverty and social exclusion, pensions, as well as specific issues
to do with older age such as elder abuse, age discrimination, long term
care, dementia, regulation and inspection, empowerment and advocacy, hospital
discharge, minority ethnic elders, and rights and risk. All UK government
